Rudy's brings oak-fired barbecue to New Braunfels on Loop 337, seven days a week from dawn until late.
The New Braunfels Rudy's runs the chain's country-store-and-barbecue format — oak-smoked brisket, ribs and sausage by the pound, groceries and gas alongside — open early to nine most days, later on weekends. The whole idea traces to Rudolph Aue's 1929 Leon Springs filling station, which added barbecue in 1989.
