Russell and Misty Roegels brought their Texas Monthly-lauded barbecue west to Katy Freeway in 2022.
This is the second outpost of the barbecue joint the Roegels started in 2014 — the one that landed at number 15 on Texas Monthly's Top 50 in 2017 and earned an honorable mention in 2022. The same Texas barbecue that made the original a destination now runs out of this Katy address, where the pit turns out what the Roegels have built their name on.
Open Tuesday through Sunday, closed Mondays. When you're this far out the Katy Freeway, it's the place to stop.
