Mike Black and his brother built this barbecue joint on the foundation their father Terry laid: Central Texas style, cooked low and slow in a proper pit. The Lockhart outpost carries that same unadorned approach—the kind of place that earned recognition in Texas Monthly's Top 50 for doing the fundamentals right.
