Charles Kreuz Sr. built this place on North Colorado Street more than a century ago, and Central Texas barbecue has been its only business ever since. They smoke over post oak wood — the method unchanged, the commitment absolute. Walk in, order what's ready, eat it standing up or at a table. That's the whole thing, and it works.
