The Scottsdale Rudy's on Northsight Boulevard keeps a country store and an oak pit as natural neighbors — brisket and sausage by the pound, open early to late six days a week. It's the format Rudolph Aue started in Leon Springs in 1929, once barbecue joined the menu in 1989.
