Mack "Doc" Holiday started this outfit in 1989, and it's been wood-fired barbecue ever since. The Richmond location sits on the Southwest Freeway, open early and late enough that you can fit it into a day that doesn't revolve around it — 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. most nights, later on weekends.
It's a country store and a barbecue joint in one. Order at the counter, eat what's ready. No fuss, no countdown timer on your plate.
