Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que made its name serving championship Kansas City-style barbecue out of a working gas station at 47th & Mission since 1996. The original location is famous for slow-smoked brisket, burnt ends, ribs, pulled pork, and the signature Z-Man sandwich of brisket, smoked provolone, and onion rings on a Kaiser roll. Sides like BBQ beans, creamy or spicy coleslaw, potato salad, mac & cheese, fries, street corn, and cornbread round out plates, with banana pudding for dessert. Walk-ins only, with nationwide shipping, catering, sauces, rubs, and merch available.
