MISSION BBQ — Mission
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
MISSION BBQ is fast-casual barbecue built around a simple idea: two friends who cared about smoke and service, now running a chain that opens at eleven and closes when the day's done.
The Mission outpost sits on Johnson Drive, serving brisket, ribs, and pulled pork six days a week until nine, Sundays until eight. The brand started in 2011 when two friends decided barbecue and patriotism could share a roof; the formula stuck, and the locations multiplied.
It's counter-service barbecue — order, pay, collect — with none of the ceremony of a pit shack but all the smoke. The pace is quick, the portions straightforward, and the doors open just before lunch most days. If you're passing through Mission and want barbecue without the wait, this is the address.
