Hickory's Smokehouse brought Texas barbecue to Southport in 2010, and this outpost on Folkestone Road has been serving it ever since.
The menu runs Texas-style: smoked brisket, ribs and pulled pork in a full dining room rather than a shack — tables, a bar, and hours that stretch past dark most nights. Southport's branch sits on Folkestone Road in Kew, part of the smokehouse chain that keeps the same kitchen across every site. Open noon daily (ten at weekends), through to ten most nights and eleven on Fridays and Saturdays.
