Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q brings Texas barbecue and a working country store to El Paso's South Desert Boulevard.
On South Desert Boulevard on El Paso's West side, Rudy's opens at seven and runs late — to 10:30 Friday and Saturday — doing the chain's oak-smoked barbecue and country-store trade under one roof. The format goes back to Rudolph Aue's 1929 Leon Springs grocery, with barbecue added in 1989. Order at the counter; the Sause is on the table.
