Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q brings Texas barbecue and a working country store to El Paso's Far East side.
This El Paso Rudy's on Joe Battle keeps the chain's long hours — oak smoke from morning to late — and the chain's format: barbecue pit, grocery, and gas under one sign. It started as Rudolph Aue's Leon Springs country store in 1929 and became barbecue in 1989. Brisket and sausage by the pound; the creamed corn is the side to get.
