MISSION BBQ — Wilmington
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
Two friends passionate about barbecue started MISSION BBQ in 2011; this Wilmington outpost on Kirkwood Highway serves their fast-casual take seven days a week.
MISSION BBQ runs a straightforward operation: order at the counter, collect your tray, find a seat. The menu covers the usual ground — brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken — plated quickly and priced to keep the line moving. It's barbecue built for volume, not ceremony.
The Kirkwood Highway location keeps the same hours as the rest of the chain: 11 to 9 most days, closing an hour earlier on Sundays. No reservations, no fuss — walk in, point at what you want, and carry on.
