MISSION BBQ — Springfield
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
MISSION BBQ opened in 2011 when two friends decided barbecue and patriotism belonged on the same plate.
This Springfield outpost sits on Baltimore Pike, part of a chain built on the idea that slow-smoked meat and respect for service go hand in hand. The founders started with a simple premise: barbecue done properly, served to a community that values both.
Open daily — eleven to nine most days, half-eleven to eight on Sundays — with a menu that covers the expected ground. No flourishes, just the work of a pit and the people who tend it.
