MISSION BBQ runs a fast-casual operation on University Parkway — the barbecue joint two friends started in 2011, now with outposts across the country.
This University Park branch keeps the same rhythm as the rest: counter service, daily hours (11 to 9 most days, closing an hour earlier on Sundays), and a menu built around smoked meats without the wait of a traditional pit stop.
It's barbecue at the pace of fast casual — order, sit, eat. No lingering over a smoker, no line down the block. Just a plate and a predictable schedule for anyone passing through Sarasota who wants barbecue on their own clock.
