MISSION BBQ — Port Charlotte
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
MISSION BBQ runs a fast-casual operation on South Tamiami Trail — barbecue at the pace of a lunch break, seven days a week.
Two friends started MISSION BBQ in 2011 with a straightforward idea: serve barbecue quickly, without ceremony. This Port Charlotte outpost keeps those hours most working people can use — open daily through dinner, closing at nine most nights and eight on Sunday.
It's fast-casual barbecue, which means you order at a counter and the food comes out without much wait. No lingering required, though nobody's rushing you out either. The sort of place that fits between errands or after work, when you want barbecue but don't have an afternoon to spend on it.
