Barque Smokehouse — Toronto
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
Barque Smokehouse brings competition-grade barbecue to St. Clair West, where Southern Ontario smoke meets the city.
David Neinstein and Jonathan Persofsky opened Barque in 2011 as "refined" barbecue — competition-grade smoke served in a proper Toronto restaurant, from an outfit that pays a living wage and runs tip-free. Open daily from 11:30; the pit stops at nine most nights, half-nine on weekends. Call or walk in.
