Terry Black's BBQ
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
Terry Black's BBQ brings Central Texas pit smoking to Waco, where the old-school method and the family name mean the same thing.
Mike Black and his brother built this barbecue business on their father Terry's name and approach — Central Texas style, done the way it's meant to be done. This Waco outpost opened in 2024 at 228 8th Street, carrying the same pit-smoking discipline that earned the brand a spot in Texas Monthly's Top 50.
Open daily from 10:30 a.m., with late hours on Friday and Saturday. No shortcuts, no marketing. Just smoke and time.
