This Albuquerque outpost on Coors NW does Texas barbecue the straightforward way: wood-fired over oak, no fuss. The country store side keeps things honest — it's barbecue and supplies, nothing more.
Open early and late most days (7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday), it's built for people who know what they want and don't need a menu to tell them. Cash or card, reasonable prices, and the kind of place that works because it does one thing and sticks to it.
