MISSION BBQ — Surprise
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
MISSION BBQ is a fast-casual barbecue chain founded in 2011 by two friends who took their passion for smoke and meat and built it into something bigger.
This Surprise outpost sits on West Bell Road, part of a multi-state operation that runs on a simple premise: barbecue done quickly, without losing the thread. The brand's roots are in that 2011 partnership — two people who believed good barbecue didn't need to move slowly to move right.
Open daily, closing at nine most nights and eight on Sundays. The doors open at eleven, half-past on Sunday. It's fast-casual in the truest sense — order, sit, eat — and the format works because the food holds up its end.
