MISSION BBQ — Grand Rapids
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
MISSION BBQ opened its first restaurant in 2011, built by two friends who cared about barbecue and wanted to serve it fast.
This is the Grand Rapids outpost, a fast casual spot on East Beltline Avenue where the menu moves at lunch pace and the doors open eleven to nine most days, half an hour later on Sundays.
It's part of a multi-state operation — the sort of place that does barbecue without the queue, trades pit time for speed, and keeps the register modest. You order, you sit, you eat. No ceremony.
