The Pit Room is a Texas barbecue restaurant on Richmond Avenue in Houston, run by Michael Sambrooks and his family.
The meat comes off custom barrel-style offset smokers built by Allout Fabrication, plus a vertical cooker for sausage. Texas barbecue done without shortcuts.
Breakfast tacos run from seven to half-ten in the morning if you're there early. Otherwise it's barbecue, eleven to nine, every day of the week.
