Sugarfire Smokehouse — Farmington
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
Sugarfire Smokehouse sits on Walton Drive in Farmington, serving St. Louis style barbecue built on slow smoke and a track record that includes Memphis in May.
The Farmington outpost carries Sugarfire's St. Louis-style barbecue an hour south: smoked ribs, pulled pork, and brisket, plus the daily specials that change with whatever the kitchen feels like smoking. Mike Johnson and Carolyn Downs built the brand on that mix of barbecue and invention — and the dessert case Downs is responsible for is worth a look on the way out. Get there before the day's smoke sells down.
