Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q does wood-fired barbecue the way it's been done since 1989, and this College Station outpost on Harvey Road keeps that going.
Mack "Doc" Holiday built something that works: oak-fired barbecue, no fuss, open early and late enough to catch you hungry. The College Station location runs seven days a week, from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. most nights — 9:30 on Friday and Saturday — which means there's almost always a reason to stop by.
It's a country store and a barbecue joint in one. Order at the counter, eat what's ready, and move on. That's the whole idea.
