This Arlington Rudy's on East I-20 is a barbecue joint and country store in one — oak-smoked brisket and sausage by the pound, groceries and gas alongside. The format dates to Rudolph Aue's 1929 Leon Springs grocery, barbecue added in 1989. Meat cooked right, and a store that knows what it's selling.
