Two friends who loved barbecue started MISSION BBQ in 2011; this San Diego outpost sits on Mission Boulevard, open daily.
Fast-casual barbecue with a patriotic bent — MISSION BBQ runs dozens of locations across the country, and this one serves the beach neighbourhoods of San Diego. The menu is built for speed: order at the counter, collect your tray, move on. It's barbecue scaled for volume, not for queues that stretch around the block.
