MISSION BBQ sits on East 80th Avenue in Merrillville, part of a chain two friends started in 2011 with a passion for barbecue and a point to make.
The brand runs on a simple idea: serve barbecue and honour service. Every location opens at 11:00 most days (11:30 Sundays) and closes when the evening's done — 21:00 weekdays and Saturdays, 20:00 Sundays. They shut for the holidays that matter and close early on a handful of eves; Super Bowl hours shift by time zone.
This is chain barbecue with a mission baked in. The menu and the method are the same across every outpost, and the Merrillville address delivers what the founders built: a place where the food and the flag share the room.
