Two friends started MISSION BBQ in 2011; now there's an outpost on Green River Road in Evansville.
MISSION BBQ is fast-casual barbecue with a patriotic bent, founded by a pair who cared enough about smoke and service to build a chain. This Evansville location runs the same playbook: order at the counter, collect your tray, and find a seat. The menu covers the usual ground—brisket, ribs, pulled pork—without regional allegiance.
Open daily for lunch and dinner, closing a half-hour earlier on Sundays. It's barbecue at the pace of a queue, not a line around the block.
