MISSION BBQ — Ellicott City
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
MISSION BBQ is a fast-casual barbecue operation founded by two friends in 2011, now with outposts across the country — this one sits on Plumtree Drive in Ellicott City.
The brand runs on a simple premise: barbecue served quickly, without ceremony. Two friends started it more than a decade ago; the model has since spread to dozens of locations, each keeping to the same straightforward approach.
The Ellicott City outpost opens at eleven most days, half an hour later on Sundays, and runs until evening. It's fast-casual — order, collect, eat — and the menu holds to what the brand does everywhere else. No flourishes, just the fundamentals done at pace.
