Hurtado Barbecue
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
Brandon and Hannah Hurtado started smoking Central Texas barbecue with a Tex-Mex edge in 2018, and by early 2020 they'd opened this Arlington location on East Front Street.
Hurtado Barbecue is what happens when Central Texas smoke meets Tex-Mex sensibility — slow-smoked meat with a border-town accent. Brandon and Hannah Hurtado founded the business in 2018, and this Arlington spot followed in February 2020. The method is straightforward: low heat, long hours, and smoke doing the work it's meant to do. The result is barbecue that doesn't pick a lane between traditions — it walks both. Open daily from eleven to nine, which is more hours than most pits keep. The Hurtados have since opened other locations; this is where it began.
