Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q brings Texas barbecue and a working country store to Fort Worth's North Freeway Service Road.
The Fort Worth Rudy's sits on the North Freeway service road, oak smoke going before the morning traffic does. It's the familiar Rudy's setup — a country store, a gas pump, and a pit turning out brisket, ribs and sausage by the pound. The whole thing started as a Leon Springs filling station in 1929 and became barbecue in 1989. Walk in, order, eat.
