MISSION BBQ — Jacksonville
The Atlas Review
The BBQ Atlas
MISSION BBQ sits on Town Center Parkway in Jacksonville's St. John's neighbourhood, doing what it does across the country: fast-casual barbecue with a side of patriotism.
Two friends started MISSION BBQ in 2011 with a passion for barbecue and a reverence for service members. The brand has since spread to dozens of locations, this one among them, serving brisket, ribs, and pulled pork to St. John's at a pace that suits lunch breaks and weeknight dinners.
Open daily — eleven to nine most days, closing a bit earlier on Sundays. The format is counter-service: order, collect, eat. No fuss, no wait staff, just trays and a straightforward menu that doesn't change much from one outpost to the next.
